Gabriel J Halperin, DPM, FACFAS, FAENS, is the president and medical director of California Wound Healing Medical Group located in Los Angeles, California. Dr Halperin graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and went on to do his residency at Western Medical Center. He is the past president of the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Association and was a board member of the California Podiatric Medical Association. He is presently a member of the Carrier Advisory Committee of Noridian Medicare, and on the Medicare Committee of CPM.

Robert K Lee, DPM is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who offers comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for ailments affecting the foot and ankle. He has performed over a thousand surgical foot and ankle procedures, including common foot conditions such as bunions, neuromas, and hammertoes, as well as specializing in diabetic limb salvage, Charcot foot reconstruction, tendon repairs, foot and ankle arthritis, and ankle arthroscopy. He is also the current Chief of Podiatric Surgery at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Dr Lee graduated with honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He continued his training at a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia before completing his training with a Lower Extremity Diabetic Limb Salvage Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr Lee is currently Assistant Clinical Faculty within the David Geffen-UCLA School of Medicine and has been involved with the training of residents and fellows at UCLA Medical Center. He has also lectured for various conferences and seminars on multiple topics. In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr Lee has also attained the highest level of board certification offered by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. This certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery has been awarded to less than five percent of podiatrists nationally.

Harold Schoenhaus, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University.

Jonathan Arnold, MD, ABPM-UHM, CWS-P obtained his medical degree in 1997 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Great Plains Family Practice Residency Program, Oklahoma City, OK. Dr Arnold has practiced medicine in the state of Iowa for 20 years. During this time he has served as medical director of two nursing homes. From 2005 to 2007 he practiced wound care and hyperbaric medicie part time. He also served as Medical Director of the Wound Healing Center at Ft Madison Community Hospital in Ft Madison, IA. From 2007 to 2018, he served as Medical Director for Great River Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic in Burlington, IA. Since 2018 he has served as the Medical Director of The Healing Center at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA where Dr Arnold practices wound care and hyperbaric medicine full-time. Dr Arnold is board certified in Family Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also credentialed by the American Board of Wound Management as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician.

Dylan Bach, MD, MBA is a board-certified Clinical Pathologist and has extensive experience in the clinical laboratory. He received his Medical Doctorate at University of California San Diego and completed his residency in clinical and anatomical pathology at University of California Irvine. He went on to complete his clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. He was the Medical Director of Clinical Chemistry, Pathology Informatics and Toxicology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. Dr Bach is the current clinical pathology director at Bach Diagnostics. He is well known for his work in clinical pathology and received the Warren L. Bostick Award for Excellence and the John Budd Golden Scope Award.

Alan Bass, DPM, FACPM, CPC, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and has been in private practice in Manalapan, New Jersey for over 25 years. Dr Bass is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Over his entire career, Dr Bass has been involved with business and practice management, having previously served as Medical Director and Senior Consultant for NEMO Health. Realizing the needs of podiatrists nationwide Dr Bass left NEMO Health at the end 2018 and in January 2019, he began his own consulting firm JARALL Medical Management Consulting, providing practice management services practice valuations, reputation management services and much more. In January 2020, Dr Bass, along with Dr Paul Kesselman formed PARE Coding and Compliance Consulting, a firm dedicated to assisting doctors with coding, auditing, and compliance issues. Dr Bass is also a past-president of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society. He also is active with the American Podiatric Medical Association, currently serving on the Communication committee and having served on the Resolutions committee.

Marc A Benard, DPM, DABPM, DABFAS

Marc A. Benard, DPM, DABPM, DABFAS is the President and Co-Director of Operation Footprint Inc, located in Los Angeles, CA. Over the past 44 years this 501C3 organization has had over 30,000 patient visits and performed over 3,000 major surgeries on children and adults with congenital and acquired neuromuscular conditions of the foot and ankle, at its locations in Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, and India. In the process the project’s directors have trained several hundred podiatric residents, as well as orthopedic and general surgeons in the host countries. Dr Benard is also the former Executive Director and Examination Chair for the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and currently serves as a consultant for the organization’s examination development process. In addition, Dr Benard currently serves as Director of International Service for Rotary District 7690 and chairs its Global Grants Committee. He is certified with both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and lectures nationally in the areas of pediatric and adult biomechanics and surgery.

Devin Bland, DPM, AACFAS, DABPM

Devin Bland, DPM, AACFAS, DABPM graduated from Midwestern University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. After graduation, he completed his surgical residency in 2016 at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He furthered his surgical training by completing one of the premier surgical reconstructive fellowship programs specializing in Diabetic patients, Charcot, Revisional Surgery, and Pediatric Care with the American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery and Research in Alamogordo New Mexico. Dr Bland is board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He practices in the private sector centrally located in Phoenix Arizona at Prestige Medical Care, a multispecialty group. Dr Bland has received many awards and special recognition for his surgical ability in treating advanced foot and ankle pathology. He has authored textbook chapters relating to bone grafting, served as a residency director, and continues to teach at Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona.

Dawn Buratti, DPM, MS

Dawn Buratti, DPM, MS is a board certified podiatric physician who has been practicing in the San Fernando Valley for 19 years. She graduated with honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1997, having completed internships in both Northern and Southern California, including San Francisco General Hospital and Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. Her podiatric medical school awarded her the prestigious Presidential Scholarship. At graduation, she received additional honors, including the Scepter Award and ProLab Scholarship (awarded by her own classmates as “the person who contributed most to their education”). Dr Buratti has a Master’s Degree in Medical Education and a Doctorate Degree in Podiatric Medicine. She completed a post graduate two-year surgical residency (PSR-24) with training not only in podiatric surgery, but also general surgery, orthopedic surgery and plastics/reconstructive surgery. Her surgical residency program was integrated with a Center for Wound Care, where she received additional training in vascular surgery, diabetic wound care and limb salvage. Dr Buratti is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is also certified in Wound Care by the Council for Medical Education & Testing. She is an active member of the California Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Buratti is an inventor who has earned four United States Patents, issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, for an innovative medical device and procedure, and she has several U.S. and Foreign patents pending. She is co-inventor of the innovative FDA approved FastForward Bunion Correction Procedure as well as the patent pending Hallux Varus Correction Procedure.

Paul Dayton, DPM, MS, FACFAS

Paul Dayton, DPM, MS, is a board-certified podiatrist at Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa in Ankeny, Iowa. His years of research and experience make him one of the most highly skilled podiatrists in the Des Moines area. After completing his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Dr Dayton earned a master’s in podiatric medical education and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He served as podiatric surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center in Santa Clara, California. Dr Dayton is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery, and he’s also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In 2017, Dr Dayton established Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa with his wife, Dr Mindi Dayton, with a focus on research and development of innovative techniques for foot and ankle surgery. To that purpose, he works with medical technology companies and collaborates with foot and ankle surgeons across the country to develop innovative procedures. He’s named on several medical device patents. He’s held numerous academic and other leadership positions throughout his three decades in practice, including faculty positions at Des Moines University and Stanford University School of Medicine in California. He has co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and continues to present lectures nationally and internationally. He’s served as an editor for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Fred Ferlic, MD

Fred Ferlic, MD is a founding member of TayCo External Ankle Brace. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Cornell Medical School, and University of Minnesota Orthopedic Department. In 1977, he started private practice and retired in 2016 at age 70. For 30 of those years he treated the Notre Dame teams. He then started TayCo External because of physician and patient problems with the walking boot and internal AFOs. He presently serves as Chief Medical Officer of TayCo External, a role he is passionate about.

Robert Frykberg, DPM, MPH

Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Emily Greenstein, APRN, CNP, CWON, FACCWS is a Certified Nurse Practitioner at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. She received her BSN from Jamestown College and her MSN from Maryville University. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been certified in wound and ostomy care through the WOCNCB for the past 8 years. At Sanford, she oversees the outpatient wound care program, serves as chair for the SVAT committee and is involved in many different research projects. She is an active member of the AAWC and currently serves as co-chair for the Research Task Force and Membership Committee. She is also a working member of the AAWC International Consolidated Diabetic Ulcer Guidelines Task Force. She has been involved with other wound organizations and currently serves as the Professional Practice Chair for the North Central Region Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Society. Emily has served as an expert reviewer for the WOCN Society and the Journal for WOCN. She is a blogger for Wound Source. Her main career focus is on the advancement of wound care through evidence-based research.

Daniel T Hall, IV, was raised in Newburgh, Indiana, a small town in rural Southern Indiana where compassion and care for one's community were ingrained in his beliefs from a young age. He excelled in the classroom graduating from Castle High School with honors. He shined on the soccer field but chose to pursue a career in medicine. Dr Hall attended Indiana University on a pre-medical scholarship and graduated with distinction earning a bachelors degree in chemistry. Following completion of his undergraduate work, he secured a merit scholarship to attend the William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University where he earned his doctorate and graduated in the top 20% of his class. He completed his residency training at the nationally recognized South Miami Hospital of Baptist Health in Miami, Florida where he served as chief resident and performed over 2,000 procedures. Dr Hall is trained in numerous surgical techniques with an emphasis on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, including diabetic limb salvage with internal/external fixation and cosmetic foot surgery. Additionally, he learned various skin closure and skin grafting techniques to minimize scar visibility and accelerate wound healing under the direction of renowned plastic surgeons at South Miami Hospital. Dr Hall has developed a keen interest in diabetic foot care and limb salvage, and he has co-authored multiple publications in Podiatry Today and Podiatry Management on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery techniques and post-operative care in the diabetic population. He also served as a volunteer participant in the Yucatan Crippled Children's Project (YCCP) co-sponsored by Barry University and the International Foot and Ankle Foundation in Merida, Mexico during which he earned valuable experience in pediatric foot and ankle deformity treatment and surgical correction. Dr Hall also served as a surgical clinical course leader for the Miami-Dade College Physician Assistant program, discussing common foot and ankle injuries and participating in multiple suture workshops. After the completion of his residency training, Dr. Hall co-founded Louisiana Foot and Ankle Specialists in Lake Charles, Louisiana with his wife, Dr Mallory Przybylski. He is Board Qualified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is an active member of multiple podiatric societies and is dedicated to continuing education and keeping up with the most innovative treatments available. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, sporting events and spending time with his family, friends and four rescue dogs. He is proud to be a part of the Lake Charles community and is a compassionate, kind physician who is fully invested in providing the highest quality of patient care.

After graduating summa cum laude from Brooklyn College & SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn’s BA-MD Program, she received expert level fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology under Javier Beltran MD, one of the Worlds’ Leading Biomechanical Experts. Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2001, Marlena Jbara, MD is currently an expert Bone and Joint Radiologist with Simon Med Imaging. She serves as faculty in an International MSK Fellowship with special interest in coaching expert level radiologists in foot and ankle imaging. She is a leader in podiatric radiology, developing curricula for academic programs with a broad experience from delivering grand rounds to publishing articles and book chapters on the shoulder, knee, and ankle . In addition to her active Radiologist practice, her productive career currently includes educating and coaching healers while providing resources to Help Heal our Healers within the Current Crisis of Physician Burnout. With her Cofounding of GrooveMDs.com, her team is active in raising awareness to empower physicians. Additionally, she is currently serving on the American College of Radiology Arts Task Force dedicated to physician wellness, highlighting Art as a source of our Physician Wellness. In all of her endeavors, Dr Jbara is an innovator in designing and implementing educational programs dedicated to our Healers.

Ara Kelekian, DPM

Ara Kelekian, DPM specializes in podiatric medicine and podiatric surgery. Jonathan Labovitz, DPM, FACFAS, CHCQM, is the Dean and Professor, College of Podiatric Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine. He Is board certified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also board certified in Healthcare Quality and Management by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr Labovitz graduated from Cornell University majoring in nutritional biochemistry. He earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine followed by a three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at Botsford General Hospital in Michigan. Dr Labovitz then completed an AO fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery in Graz, Austria and advanced Ilizarov training in Russia. In addition, Dr Labovitz was a visiting scholar in health policy and management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health under the mentorship of Gerald Kominski, PhD. Dr Labovitz is the Chair of the Western Foot & Ankle Conference and he serves on several committees for professional organizations, including the Council on Podiatric Medical Education accreditation committee. He also serves as a consultant to several public and privately-held medical device and pharmaceutical companies. Dr Labovitz is a past president of the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Society and past chair of the Treasure Hunt Seminar. He has also been a consultant for the California Board of Podiatric Medicine from 2000-2011 and served on the American Diabetes Association, Los Angeles Chapter Community Leadership Board from 2010-2018 and served as President from 2013-2014.

John C Lantis, II, MD is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Mount Sinai West and St Luke's Roosevelt Hospitals in New York City, where he is also the Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He holds the academic title of Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr Lantis' clinical practice spans the fields of Vascular/Endovascular Surgery, and lower extremity wound healing. He directs a clinical/basic science research program in the field of lower extremity wound healing and tissue repair and is published extensively. He is a founding member of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery. He currently sits on the editorial board of WOUNDS and the Journal of Wound Care. In addition, he is a reviewer for half a dozen other journals. To date, he is/or has been the principal investigator on more than 55 multicenter and single center chronic wound and vascular surgery trials.

Jeffrey D Lehrman, DPM, FASPS, MAPWCA, CPC, recently named one of America's Most Influential Podiatrists, is in private practice Fort Collins, CO. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and is recognized as a Master by the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and an Expert Panelist on Codingline. In his role as a Consultant to the APMA Health Policy and Practice Department, Dr Lehrman serves as an advisor to the APMA Coding Committee and the APMA MACRA Task Force. Dr Lehrman sits on the board of directors of both the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is an adjunct clinical professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Matthew Regulski, DPM, FFPM RCPS (Glasg), ABMSP is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He performed his residency at the Main Line Health System in Philadelphia, PA, and is currently the Medical Director of the Wound Care Institute of Ocean County, LLC. Dr Ribotsky was born and raised in Miami Beach. He attended The University of South Florida where he graduated with a degree in Biology. He attended Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine and was Class President. He completed two separate residencies: one in orthopedics in Philadelphia and a second & third year in Advanced Surgery in Salt Lake City. He was a fellow of both the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine (now called ABPM). Additionally, Dr Ribotsky is a Past President of the American College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr Ribotsky was inducted into the National Academy of Practice as a Distinguished Practitioner. Podiatry Management Magazine has chosen Dr Ribotsky as one of the top VIP DPM’s for fifteen straight years. In 2016, the entire profession voted to add Dr Ribotsky to the professions Hall of Fame granting him a lifetime achievement award. In addition to often being a national and international speaker & researcher he was on the editorial boards of many publications. Prior to entering Private Practice in Boca Raton, Dr Ribotsky practiced at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, department of Orthopedics. Marie Williams, DPM, DABPS, DHLS, is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Williams was the first clinical dean at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the school. Dr Williams has been in private practice since 1984. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She has been involved in residency training since 1986 and a Program Director in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine since 1988. Dr Williams is a speaker in the field of foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage. She has published several articles on the healing of complex wounds and limb salvage, while also authoring a chapter: Bone Infections in "Foot and Ankle Radiology". In August 2014, Dr Williams was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts along with her teammates from Immaculata College. Their team, the Mighty Macs, captured three consecutive Championships. They were considered trailblazers for women sports, and in the 70s they help bring about Title 9 and equality for women in sports. In June 2015 they received the trailblazer award in the women’s basketball hall of fame. Dr Williams was recently requested to be a Keynote Speaker for Immaculata University and received the Doctor of Humane Letters for her humanitarian efforts in May 2018.
